My Omega Slow Juicer

I want to share why I love my Omega juicer. It's totally awesome!
Omega 8006 Juicer

My Omega 8006 Vegetable and Fruit Juice Extractor can juice everything from wheat grass and leafy greens to fruits and vegetables, even citrus fruits, (one of the hardest fruits to juice) without destroying the nutritional benefits. Wheatgrass and Leafy Greens, and pine tree needles are just some of the natural products that can be juiced.

Omega's newest horizontal single gear masticating juice extractor uses a low speed of 80 RPMs, resulting in minimal heat build up and oxidation promoting healthy enzymes and longer lasting juices. The two stage juice extraction which helps to increase yield over other single stage auger juicers.

I'm excited to be joining the Overlay Crochet Mandala CAL. I'm only a little late, that's OK. I'm deciding on the yarn to use, probably my large stash of chunky. oranges, yellows, greens, blues, a little silver gray and black. I know it'll be awesome.

Why Vegan

Today’s blog Challenge is to voice an opinion on something related to my blog. I've had a couple strong opinions on my mind lately and I’d like to share one on why I'm choosing to be vegan and why I share this type lifestyle. Knowing the facts and being more aware of the truth helps us make more conscious decisions. Healthier choices would affect not only us (body, mind and spirit) but also the environment.
Meat distresses the body in many ways. It has an acidic ph (disease causing), is inflammatory and is harder to digest than a plant based diet. Carnivorous diets lack a level of compassion. And then eating meat affects the spirit by producing a lower vibration. Animal food production involves so much and is costly: land, grains, food, water, drugs, transportation, etc. It is hard on the environment and also cruel and very sad for the animals. Plant foods have a higher frequency.

My opinion is that with all that it takes to grow animals for food it could be better used to feed the hungry. Why should some eat steak while so many are starving? This is why I'm choosing to be vegan.

Ways to Avoid Lyme

Today's assignment is to make a list post. Lists are persuasive: numerous points in a list can be quite convincing. My topic of how to prevent Lyme Disease is so very important and needs to be convincing. I found 3 very good lists that I've condensed into one convincing post (a little longer than my usual posts, sorry).

It's a simple, low cost method for growing sprouts, using very little space, time, water, energy and effort and no daily rinsing!

Grow as little or as much fresh vegetable as you want in just 72 hours.

And the foods you sprout using this method will also last 10, 20, even 30 times longer than sprouts grown using traditional methods!

More GREENS and juicing

I've been gluten-free since 2002, mostly sugar-free since 82' (haven't bought any sugar and have tried to avoid it), no meat for many many years and no pork or Biblical unclean food for over 30 years. I'm already been making good food choices for a long time but now I feel like I wanting to take it to another level

I'm focusing on mostly RAW VEGAN, sprouting, juicing, smoothies, salads, fermenting, etc, (with only occasional bee products)

I'm really enjoying working in my garden, excited about all the fresh live foods, more GREENS, herbs, spices, squash, cabbage, radishes, beans, peppers and beets this year.

I've also decided to avoid unclean supplements. I'm looking carefully at all ingredients, looking for more natural sources (food) as much as I can.

Happy 2012 ~

It's been awhile since I've blogged so I'm reviewing last year and what I'm planning for this year.
2011 - It was productive, seeing health improvement, still alot of pain. After reading studies on the Lyme and mercury connection, I had my teeth out and got dentures in Nov. That was sure an experience.

2012 - I'm not TRYING to be healthy anymore, I'm just focusing on BEING healthy, fitness of body, mind and spirit, kicking Lyme and co infections, a heavy metal detox,  juicing and smoothies, cleansing, detox, positive thinking and friends, art therapy, prayer, meditation, and more quality time with my Higher Power.

Here is my 2012 Plan  Program....
